Collin and I had a discussion about what exactly we are going to do once the Manuals (key in angel chorus here) arrive.
Collin wants to read them first. I can see that.
I would like to delve in immediately. I should probably prepare a little first.
Good point.
So where are we going to actually do the work? I was informed twice today that it may not be the best idea to take the engine apart on the street. My driveway is very slanted though.
So to avoid fines or arrest or even worse, public reprimand, we'll likely end up working in the driveway.
Which means we will need blocks.
Collin has connections for such things. Perfect. That's free.
Next I'm going to buy one of those cool round plastic oil pans with the lid. I saw them for ten bucks at Schucks a while ago and wanted one really bad but I didn't have a purpose for it.
Well, now I do!
The question of how we're going to even get the engine out has come up a few times. I keep getting reminded that engines are heavy. Yes, I get it. I'll figure something out.
I kicked around the idea of a pulley system for about a minute during this discussion.
There has to be something available to rent.
We're going to read the manual first before we get to that point.
