And Eric at Acme Electric fixed my A/C on the Wednesday before the wedding.  It wasn't the compressor.  YAY!!!  A bolt had fallen off and then loosed the belt and that was making all kinds of noise and awfulness.  The blower didn't work since a fuse was melted.  Easy enough to fix and I was on my way!
